1. Why SHRTX Exists

SHRTX builds practical browser tools that help users complete common digital tasks without unnecessary software installation, account creation, or file transfers. We believe that the modern browser is a powerful enough platform to handle many everyday operations safely and efficiently.

2. Safer Everyday Computing

Many users resort to installing unknown utilities or modified software for simple tasks like image conversion, document editing, or data formatting. This can increase exposure to unwanted software, misleading installers, or security vulnerabilities. SHRTX provides simple browser-based alternatives that eliminate the need to trust executable downloads for routine tasks.

3. Browser-First Philosophy

Supported SHRTX tools process files and inputs directly inside the user's browser using modern web technologies. This means that selecting a local file for processing is not a server upload. While some specialized features may use network access when required by the tool's purpose (such as API-based inspections), our primary design goal is local-first execution.

4. Privacy Transparency

SHRTX is designed with a privacy-first mindset, which includes being transparent about how we measure and improve our platform. We minimize unnecessary data collection while using standard operational infrastructure for reliability and sustainability.

SHRTX may utilize first-party analytics infrastructure, Cloudflare services, Google Analytics, Sentry, and advertising systems governed by user consent controls. These systems help us understand platform usage, detect errors, and maintain the platform's availability. Importantly, your local-processing tool files and private inputs are kept separate from these analytics systems.
